ABOUT ME
I relocated to Austin, Texas in May 2021 to be the Digital Content Writer for the Downtown Austin Alliance. I work with local business owners to make downtown Austin its best self and showcase what it has to offer.
I enjoy a variety of responsibilities and a varied schedule. I run all our social media accounts, photography, our website, analyze metrics, help plan and attend events, create weekly newsletters, communicate with community members and visitors constantly.
Previously, I was the Office Manager and Director of College Outreach for the Community Improvement District of Downtown Columbia, Missouri.
Passionate about events and festivals, I am heavily involved in the outreach committee for the Unbound Book Festival and currently run their social media. I covered social media for multiple Austin Design Week events. I work for the True/False Film Fest as a venue captain. While in Columbia, I assisted our local business vendors at the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival.
I am a Group Fitness Instructor and fell in love with group fitness and exercise in college. Eagerly, got my ACE Certification and never stopped learning. I went from teaching cardio/strength and HIIT classes at MizzouRec and added Barre, yoga, hot yoga, kettlebell, and TRX classes at Wilson's Fitness. During COVID-19, I even created a few workout videos to keep my regular attendees moving.
I graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. My emphasis is Marketing, my minor is Psychology, and I have a multicultural certificate attached to my degree.
My work experience is incredibly diverse because I have a wide array of interests and value new experiences. I have three years of experience as an actor with a theatre troupe, three years as a group fitness instructor at the MizzouRec, three more years as a group fitness instructor at Wilson's Fitness, and five years at Hyvee, local grocer and restaurant.

Social media management is one of my favorite aspects of marketing. Below you will find examples of content I crafted for the District's social media. Engagement and followers increased significantly on all platforms will I ran the accounts from May 2018 through May 2021. I kept our posting cadence daily at a minimum.
In May of 2021, I started managing the Downtown Austin Alliance and Republic Square social media accounts, adding LinkedIn and Tiktok to my professional repertoire. I was extended the opportunity to take photography, videography, and editing classes through a professional development program and was provided with professional equipment.
